Join our dynamic team at Amsterdam Medical Center as a Surgical Technologist! We're seeking a dedicated professional to assist in surgical procedures and ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and arrange equipment.
- Assist doctors during surgeries by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
- Dress and undress patients for surgery.
- Help doctors by holding retractors, cutting sutures, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.
- Set up and operate equipment like suction machines, electrocautery units, and sterilizers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Current certification from the Netherlands Association for Surgical Technologists (NVST).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical technology.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy equipment.
