Responsibilities
- Assess patients' functional abilities and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic interventions and adaptations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on strategies to improve daily living activities.
- Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practices and industry trends.
- Mentor and supervise junior therapists.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current New York state licensure and NBCOT certification.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.
- Proven experience in mentoring and supervising junior therapists.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and assistive technology.
