Responsibilities
- Lead complex land use planning projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior planners in project management and technical tasks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate land use planning with other disciplines.
- Stay updated on local, regional, and national land use planning policies and trends.
- Prepare and review land use applications, environmental impact statements, and other planning documents.
- Represent the company at public meetings, hearings, and other events.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in land use planning.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Planner (AICP) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in project management, team leadership, and client relations.
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing environmental impact statements.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
