We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Grand Hotel, a premier luxury hotel in the heart of New York City. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all guest rooms and public areas.
- Manage inventory and supplies, and maintain equipment in good working order.
- Handle guest requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues promptly.
- Prepare and manage departmental budget.
- Train and develop staff members.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping operations and standards.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
