Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyze and optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation planning with other supply chain processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Manage and mentor junior transportation planners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in transportation planning or a related role.
- Proven success in optimizing transportation networks and reducing costs.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation planning software (e.g., TransCAD, RouteMatch, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with the New York metropolitan area a plus.
