Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of our government websites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern web development practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to our team's growth and knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with web development trends and best practices.
- Ensure our websites are accessible, responsive, and optimized for search engines.
- Work closely with our design team to create visually appealing and functional user interfaces.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our websites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Web Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508).
- Knowledge of government web development standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
