Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize savings and value.
- Analyze spend data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Manage a team of purchasing professionals and provide mentorship and coaching.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
- Proven track record of driving cost savings and process improvements.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Familiarity with global sourcing and supplier management.
- Certification as a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
