Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
- Negotiate contracts and purchase orders to maximize savings and minimize risk.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand demand, provide inventory insights, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage and track purchase requisitions, orders, and receipts using our ERP system.
- Perform regular spend analysis and provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal clients, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or a similar role within manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of driving cost savings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Familiarity with spend analysis tools and market intelligence platforms.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials is a plus.
- Certification as a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar is desirable.
