Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Pastor to lead our growing congregation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the Methodist faith and a proven track record of spiritual leadership.
Responsibilities
- Preach and teach the Word of God.
- Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to church members.
- Oversee the administration and management of the church.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to plan and implement church programs and events.
- Visit members and families in hospitals, nursing homes, and private homes.
- Perform weddings, funerals, and other sacraments.
- Provide leadership in worship services and other church activities.
- Foster relationships with other churches and community organizations.
Qualifications
- Master of Divinity degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of pastoral experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
- Familiarity with Methodist doctrine and traditions.
- Ability to relate to a diverse congregation.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with compassion and professionalism.
