Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales and profit growth.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and improve existing ones.
- Manage and mentor a team of category managers.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and improve product assortment.
- Optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Monitor and improve category profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in category management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Proven track record of driving category growth and improving profitability.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with retail or e-commerce preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Analytics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
