Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Coordinate and manage college and career readiness initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate and improve counseling services.
- Provide crisis intervention and mental health support as needed.
- Foster a safe and inclusive school environment.
- Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid Illinois School Counselor endorsement.
- Proven experience as a school counselor, preferably in an urban setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development, counseling theories, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or another language spoken by our students are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.
