Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team at Little Stars Preschool. Our school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 5. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of each child.
- Develop and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Assess and document each child's progress and development.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with our team of educators to plan and implement school-wide activities and events.
- Attend professional development workshops and training sessions to stay current in early childhood education.
- Supervise and mentor student teachers and interns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- New York State teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- At least one year of experience teaching preschool-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of families and colleagues.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
