We're seeking a friendly and organized Cashier to join our team at GreenLeaf Grocers in the heart of New York City. If you're a people person with a knack for numbers, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit/debit card payments.
- Balance cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or complaints.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and other store equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
